Sprinkle baking soda over them. It works for slime mold and other mushrooms in your mulch. It will kill them. Be careful not to get it on your plants, though as it can kill them, too. After about 24 hours, you should be able to scoop them up and dispose of them (although with the "aroma" these have, I'd advise against putting them in the trash). After scooping them up, sprinkle a light dusting of baking soda over the spot to prevent future outbreaks.
Born and raised in Georgia, I love the South. Now I live in the Florida panhandle, fondly known as the Redneck Riveria, with my husband, daughter, and crazy mutt of a dog. I love Jesus,my family, the smell of rain on the hot pavement, rocky road ice cream, and the softness of kitten paws.

Ewwwww....
If your daughter had not said they were eggs, do you think you would have recognized them as fungi?
Heather's tip is cool! I've never heard that!
Weird little things they are!
ICK!
Are you sure they aren't rotten dinosaur eggs? I can smell them from here.
They look like dinosaur eggs to me!;)
*Yuck!*
What does the odor resemble? Why did I ask that?
