Don't try this at home.

Yesterday was our last day of vacation in Destin. We went to the beach one last time and visited some area museums, rounding out the day with a dolphin cruise.

The cruise offers dolphin sightings along with a chance to feed the seagulls.

This is what happens when you open a bag of Fritos at the back of a boat.

I shudder to think what would have happened if it had been Cool Ranch Doritos.

I love feeding the seagulls, even on the beach where this does not make you very popular. I try to get them to take the food right out of my hand. Only the bravest ones will do it.

We leave for the Gulf Coast on Sat. and I can't wait. Our beach time will be limited, but just a glimpse will make summer "real."

Miss you!

Somehow made me think of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Was that Alfred Hitchcock? I think it was.

Anyway, scary.

Dolphins are cool. Did you see any dolphins?

Very Hitchcockian.

Yes. . .when we ride the Bolivar Ferry on Galveston, the captain ALWAYS reminds people to only feed the seagulls from the back of the boat. We also have seen a dolphin or too. . .you just gotta love the Gulf--even the not-so-pretty-ish Galveston part.

That's what I do when someone opens a big bag of Fritos. Corn, Oil, Salt. It's like health food.
