Tots and Dreams

Do you know what I wish I could do?

I wish that I could finally figure out how to correctly pull up to the Sonic drive-in.

If I pull up too far, I can't reach the red button. If I don't pull up far enough, the cute little car hop can't reach my window to hand me my corn dog.

She always gives me that look, too.

No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to figure out how to park correctly.

These are things I think about in life.

What about you?

What do you wish you could do?

If you know how to order at Sonic, please leave me detailed instructions in the Comments.

I use the drive thru.

I've wondered the same thing! I don't think they designed the spaces right. I usually pull up, order, then back up a little so the hop can get our order to the window.

I have the problem with the drive up ATM's I always look like a dork with my door open trying to push the buttons...spatial relations...not my strong suit.

I think that all of these drive up things are designed for minivans. I drive a saturn sedan. I returned a book at the library the other day & I felt like Edith Ann (Lily Tomlin character) when I opened the door, leaned way up & could barely reach the drop box. Doesn't help that I'm short!

1. You yell, "You kids be quiet! I'm trying to park this thing."

2. Pull in.

3. Back up.

4. Try again.

5. Back up.

6. Pull mirrors in and pull forward.

7. Calm the children who think that you had been trying to leave both times you backed up.

8. Ask the attendant if they've expanded their add-in menu to include scotch and vodka.

9. Thwarted, order Diet Dr. Pepper with a shot of vanilla.

10. Leave, making note of the drive through and vowing never to park again.
